About Me
As a general neurologist at Memorial Neuroscience Institute, I care for patients with outpatient neurological conditions, ranging from migraine headaches to peripheral nerve problems and to neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease.
Having been a neurologist in the Broward community for 47 years, I still find my day-to-day work fascinating and fulfilling. I have been on the Memorial medical staff since starting practice in Hollywood and served for several years as the chairperson of the fledgling neuroscience department at Memorial Regional Hospital, watching the system expand from its original small, single hospital status to a busy six-hospital teaching institution.
At Memorial, patient-centered care remains the essence of what we do. We take the time to get to know each person and their concerns and case, then use a thorough neurological examination and appropriate testing to come to a diagnosis and care plan.
In addition to providing patient care, I am also involved in research to better understand and improve knowledge and treatments for neurological conditions. I have participated in numerous stage II and III drug and medical device studies sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, with the most recent studies focused on Parkinson's disease and Essential Tremor.
