About Me

I am a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System. I specialize in skin cancer excision and reconstruction in the head and neck area, as well as cosmetic procedures such as septorhinoplasty, facelifts, otoplasty, lesion removal, upper and lower blepharoplasty, forehead lifts and eyebrow lifts. I also have expertise in otolaryngology, performing endoscopic sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, parotid surgery and other specialized procedures.

Coming from a family of healthcare providers — both my parents are dentists — I was introduced early on to the profound impact healthcare professionals can have on patients' lives. My volunteer work with health organizations reinforced this, showing me how physicians are pivotal in guiding patients through challenging moments. My passion for surgery grew from an appreciation for its ability to deliver immediate, life-changing results. I was particularly drawn to facial plastic surgery because it blends medical expertise with artistry, allowing me to address both functional and aesthetic concerns.

In my practice today, I care for patients with a wide range of conditions, from skin cancer surgeries to complex reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Helping patients regain confidence and achieve their goals is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

I understand that considering surgery can feel overwhelming. That’s why I take the time to clearly explain each patient’s options, breaking down complex information into terms that are easy to understand. My goal is to ensure patients feel informed, comfortable and empowered to make the best decisions for their care.

Beyond patient care, I’m committed to advancing the field through research, publications and presentations focusing on improving patient outcomes and experiences. I’ve had the privilege of serving as an assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, an ad-hoc reviewer for Head and Neck Journal and a member of the Residency Program Committee at the University of Toronto.

Before joining Memorial, I was division chief of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Brightshores Health System in Ontario. While there, I launched the first cadaveric training courses for community and rural emergency physicians managing ENT emergencies and also developed a regional skin cancer program. This initiative significantly improved access to care for patients in rural communities, reducing their need to travel long distances for treatment.
